December recap

Lots of things going on in December.  Big highlights: Joey graduating from ASU, Jonah's baptism, Jonah's first Christmas ...

10 months

Probably the first and last time

I loved that Ilan and Nia were able to play on the same Tball team and have Joey coach too.  I know that from now on they will have to play on different teams because of the age bracket.  Until then, it's nice to have only ONE game to go to on the weekends.  Pretty soon we'll have 3 kids in different sports and practice/game times.

Halloween

And he's off

Jonah turned 7 months three weeks ago and there's lot of new things going on now.  


His 2nd tooth has made it's appearance, he's clapping, he's eating small pieces of real food, and now CRAWLING.  He's been crawling for about 2 weeks now.



Now he's moved on to a new challenge -  trying to pull up on the furniture.  He's not there yet, but he's really trying.

Big boy school

This is technically Ilan's 2nd year of preschool, but his first at a real school.  He's so excited that's he's a big boy and gets to go to school with all the big kids.  He's now asserting his independence - wants to dress himself, comb his own hair, go to the public bathroom by himself, serve himself his own food.  It's just too cute!

Where has the time gone

He is 6 months today.  And just like his older siblings, he gets half a cake for being half-a-year old ...

Big boy

A day after turning 5 months, Jonah's sitting up all by himself!  Seriously, time is moving too quickly.  I still haven't had the time to post his newborn or monthly photos ...

Team sports

A couple of months ago we signed Ilan and Nia up for a Multi-Sports program.  We jumped at it since they could play together and we didn't have to drive to different locations for their activities ... MAJOR plus when toting around a newborn.  This was Nia's first sport activity, so she was a little shy.  Ilan, on the otherhand, was a seasoned pro!  During the 8 week program they play football, soccer, baseball and basketball.

Nia turns 2 ... like 3 months ago

I finally got around to posting this!

In February, Nia turned 2 and we celebrated going to Peter Piper Pizza on her birthday and had a little party on the weekend.


We told Nia to lick the ice cream off the candles, she chose to bite it instead.  She's always asserting her independence even on the littlest things ...



In February, we usually enjoy beautiful mild weather, but not on the day of her party.  We were plagued with cold rain almost all day.  When it finally let up, we took advantage with pinata time.

I'm finally getting around to uploading my photos to the computer.  Needless to say, it's been a very exciting, busy two weeks.  I promise to come back and share more photos of our beautiful new son, Jonah.  Until then, here he is at 16 days old.

Two peas in a potty

If Ilan is taking care of business, Nia likes to join him and goes potty too.  It's the most hilarious thing - both laugh and carry long conversations with each other while sitting on their own toilet.  I wonder how long this will last.  Until then, it's great brother and sister quality time!

Sweet beginnings

2011 is here and we had to start it right ... making a cake. This is Ilan's favorite part.



We've got 25 more days (or less) before #3 comes. The bassinet has been set up, did some washing for the baby, bought a new take home outfit ... gender neutral, of course!  Nesting has officially begun!

Then to make things more hectic, I decided to take on a new project.  Take a daily photo to reflect our life in 2011.  Since I cannot think of the last time I actually bought a photo album and put photos in, my goal is to upload the photos at the end of the year and make a nice coffee table book.  Keeping my fingers crossed that this pans out.  Otherwise, our kids have the daunting task of rummaging through thousands of digital files to see their childhood photos.
