First Haircut

So we decided to get Ilan's first haircut today since his bangs were starting to get in his eyes. We just wanted a trim but the crazy lady took off more than that!!! His hair is so short like Pee Wee Herman's. Ok, so maybe I'm exaggerating, but he no longer looks like a baby!! He looks like a little boy now. I DON'T LIKE IT. I'm not keen on the new 'do, but what can I do? Just wait for his hair to grow out a little. But enough of what I think ...
Ilan had a good ol' time playing in the little car and watching Little Einstein on TV while they cut his hair. He stayed still and let the lady butcher his hair with no problems. Ilan is such a laid back kid, I have no idea how we lucked out.
Just a trim please

Snip, snip

More snipping

Is she still cutting?

Uh, that's more than a trim

It's ok mom, it's not that bad, really

See, not that bad once it's dry.

So I lie ...

Alright, so I said I would update more often - AND I haven't. Procrastination and I are still best friends it seems. Here are some photos of what's happened the past 2 weeks.

Ilan's 11 months old!!

Can you believe he'll be a year old next month??? My little baby is growing up! Ilan turned 11 mos today and we're already scrambling to prepare for the big fiesta next month. We know he won't remember it - but we will. Since we know only a handful of kids, it probably end up being and adult party with a keg!! You know Joey is all about the party! I'm trying to convince him that hiring a DJ and hula dancers as entertainment is really not necessary! Ah, Joey!!

Here's some pictures of our little man from today ...

Looking back

Crawling Video

It's been a couple months now since Ilan's been crawling and he is EVERYWHERE. From crawling into the dishwasher, taking things out of cabinets and, yes, playing with the toilet. He's managed to taste's Gigi's food, knock over and break our huge vases from Mexico, dive off beds, play with dead spiders - and I know it's just the beginning ... Aah, little boys!

What? Really, I'm trying to help

Plasticware? Boring! Nothing I can break or make loud noises with.

One day I'll be able to climb this, but for now let's shake it.
