Ok, I loved the idea of having a family website - BUT it was too time consuming and I couldn't upload videos. So I stumbled across this website and I realized that I can do it all - share pics, videos, and blog. So now I'll give this a shot. Seems pretty easy - so maybe I'll be able to give updates more frequently! In the next couple of weeks, I will be shutting down the family website. Check it out before it's gone.Yesterday was Ilan's first swimming lesson! Since we have a pool, we figured it would be a smart thing for Ilan to learn some swimming basics. The main goal is if he fell in the pool, he would be able to turn onto his back and float to the pool's edge. We'll be meeting twice a week with an swimming instructor for 4 weeks - just in time for his 1st birthday!!
Ilan was a little apprehensive once we got in the pool and held on to me tightly like a little monkey. Once he got somewhat comfortable, we started to learn the fundamentals. Ilan did GREAT - with some help he did some back-floats, kicking, and monkey crawling (moving along the pool edge with his hands).
