We just came back from our NE trip and it's good to be home! I definitely miss the 80 degree weather! Coming home to 105+ weather isn't exactly welcoming.
Joey's good friend Eric was getting married in Massachusetts, so we figured it would be a good time to check out NYC and Boston for the first time.
NYC was just as I imagined - fast paced and tons to see and do. Now call it poor planning on my part - but NYC just didn't seem too kid friendly. Tugging a 1 yr old around the big city was not easy. How in the world do New Yorkers do it??? First of all, it's rare to find a changing station in any of the public restrooms. I almost had heart attack when I had to change Ilan a couple of times on a filthy bathroom floor. Second, a lot of restaurants do not have high chairs either. So finding unique New York family friendly restaurants was not an easy task (I like to avoid national chain restaurants while on vacation. I try to eat like the locals.) I think next time I'll wait to visit NYC until Ilan is out of diapers and can eat at the table without a booster/highchair.

Boston was a completely different story. Definitely slower paced and a lot more family-centric. We really enjoyed the city and felt relaxed like any vacation should be.
Boston? Let's go! Don't forget me!
