18 months!

I can't believe my little baby is now 18 mos! He is definitely a little "spirited" now and I'm super busy chasing him everywhere. He understands the word NO, but seems to get a kick at smiling back and doing it anyway. I'm getting a bit nervous on handling two little ones come February. Despite Ilan's minor shenanigans, I am blessed to be at home with him seeing him grow into such an energetic, curious boy.

Thanksgiving week in SA

We had a wonderful time in SA during the week of Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, we brought germs with us and managed to get some people sick! SORRY! Blame it on Ilan! We got some great family time in and Ilan loved all the action and activities.

Me at 28 weeks!

Trick or Treat

This year Ilan dressed up like a turtle. It's been hot in the evenings so I decided not to put tights on Ilan so he wouldn't sweat up a storm and be grumpy while we went trick or treating. He still looked cute!!

Poor guy - he did all the work and had no candy!! I figure the later he discovers candy, the better. So mommy and daddy enjoyed the candy for him.

Cousin Aly came to trick or treat also. What a scary ghost!!

I'm pooped. Thank goodness Mom brought the wagon along.

Introducing Baby #2 - 20 weeks

Today was our 20-week ultrasound and we decided NOT to find out the baby's gender. All we know is that we have a beautiful healthy baby who loves to smile! Our little baby is already hamming it up for the cameras!! The doctor estimates the baby weighs 11 oz right now, but should be packing on the pounds quickly around 24 weeks.

I looked up Ilan's 20 week ultrasound and he was 13 oz.

Say Cheese!!

Back from SA

Which hat should I wear Mom?

Ilan and I are back from San Antonio while daddy is still there working till Friday. Ilan had a great time seeing his tios and grandparents -- so much fun that he decided to skip A LOT of naps and wake up early just so he wouldn't miss out on anything. I, on the otherhand, was hurting from the lack of sleep and heartburn (thanks to all the delicious TexMex food).

Ilan got to experience a few firsts on this trip: he went to the circus with Tio Issac, had his first pony ride with Grandma Janie, and had endless fun with Grandpa Joe's stairs (he lives in a 2-story and we don't).

And thanks Grandma Janie and Tia Ronnie for the baby shower!! Baby #2 has a great start with all the goodies! Can't wait to see the De Luna/Saldua Family again in November. This time I'll come prepared with a big bottle of TUMS!

I can't believe we're going to be a family of 4 now. Our projected due date is Feb 17th. Looks like we may have a Valentine's baby!

NYC and Boston vacation

We just came back from our NE trip and it's good to be home! I definitely miss the 80 degree weather! Coming home to 105+ weather isn't exactly welcoming.

Joey's good friend Eric was getting married in Massachusetts, so we figured it would be a good time to check out NYC and Boston for the first time.

NYC was just as I imagined - fast paced and tons to see and do. Now call it poor planning on my part - but NYC just didn't seem too kid friendly. Tugging a 1 yr old around the big city was not easy. How in the world do New Yorkers do it??? First of all, it's rare to find a changing station in any of the public restrooms. I almost had heart attack when I had to change Ilan a couple of times on a filthy bathroom floor. Second, a lot of restaurants do not have high chairs either. So finding unique New York family friendly restaurants was not an easy task (I like to avoid national chain restaurants while on vacation. I try to eat like the locals.) I think next time I'll wait to visit NYC until Ilan is out of diapers and can eat at the table without a booster/highchair.

Officially a mini-Yankee fan despite throwing a fit and making Dad leave at the 4th inning

Boston was a completely different story. Definitely slower paced and a lot more family-centric. We really enjoyed the city and felt relaxed like any vacation should be.

Boston? Let's go! Don't forget me!
