The end

... of 2009 is here and I'm on the computer posting photos that I haven't had the chance to post. LAME! So the Husband and I are spending another year with Dick Clark and I couldn't be happier. We have 2 beautiful healthy kids and I can't wait to see what 2010 brings!

Now back to drinking Eegee's slush and ringing in the New Year!

Ho, ho, ho

I can't believe Christmas is only 8 days away! This past weekend we went to the annual children's holiday party at Joey's work and we had a successful Santa experience! No tears, no screaming, and neither Joey or I had to be in the picture. Yay! Ilan even managed to tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas - cars and trucks. Like he needs anymore!

Here comes trouble

I cannot believe it. Nia started WALKING today - at 9 1/2 months! Joey and I are just shocked. Nia nonchalantly took four small steps this morning, with little fanfare. Joey and I just looked at each other in disbelief - did we just see that?? Awwww, I'm not ready for my BABY to be walking - just yet!

** PS. Yes, that's Ilan in the background with his underwear, AGAIN. I promise to put pants on him next time I take pictures

Pumpkin Patch

Seriously, how do you get 2 little ones to pose together? This is the only one we have where Nia isn't crying or Ilan running off (hence Joey's hand in the photo holding Ilan in place).

GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLL!!!!

Ilan had his first soccer practice this past Saturday! We put him in SoccerTots and we were a little hesitant on how he would do. He's a little shy and thought he would be clinging to our legs - BUT he was a champ! There were plenty of crying kids and he was not one of them!!! At this age, they are not playing games but learning how to play through drills.

The video is not the greatest - bad camera shake and had other parents constantly in my way - BUT you get to see Ilan in action!

Here's Ilan and his OCD tendencies ... Coach told the kids to scatter the cones around and Ilan had to line his up in a perfect line. Just like he lines up his cars at home.

Yes, Nia has plenty of clothes. I know it doesn't seem that way when half of the photos I take are of her in diapers only. I say who cares, she's still a baby and naked babies are CUTE! Joey, on the other hand, thinks she's "maturing" and should be covered. HA! He never makes that comment when Ilan is running around the house in his undies. Looks like Joey is already overprotective with his little girl.

These boots were made for walkin

For Grandpa D... Ilan likes these boots because they're just like Woody's from Toy Story.

Pebbles and BamBam

So I'm getting a little stir crazy from staying home with sick kiddos. I've had my fill of whining, crying, and neverending mocos. I figure I'd entertain myself and take some pictures. Nia's hair is always in her eyes and hairclips never stay on. So I gave her a quick Pebbles hairdo and asked Ilan if he wanted one too. Ilan, never wanting to be left out, said yes. I know he won't appreciate this when he's older.

We celebrated Nia's half birthday with half a cake - just like we did for Ilan. Only difference is that Nia tipped over face first into the cake! Her whole face was covered in chocolate frosting. Poor Ilan was so upset, he thought his little sister was hurt. He cried more than she did.

Here's Nia before her bath. She's not a happy camper.

love, Love, LOVE

I looooove my brand new lens I got for my birthday!! It takes great close-up shots and does great in low light conditions. It should definitely improve my picture taking. Thanks Mom, Yvonne, and Mrs. Saldua for the lens!! I've been having tons of fun with it.

Cloudy days

We've really been enjoying these past couple of days with the overcast. It doesn't seem so ridiculous to be outside in the 105+ degrees when the sun's hiding. Ilan and Aly rode their bikes while I practiced using my camera on manual.

Busy, Busy June

Nia's 4 months now. She's starting to eat solids now, so she'll be packing on the pounds soon! She's already 16 lbs, 11 oz. Nia's personality is really developing now. She's loves looking at her big brother. Any time Ilan is near her, she smiles and giggles at him. She's super active and loves bouncing in her Jumperoo. This past Friday, she rolled over from her back to her stomach for the first time (she did the stomach-back roll at 10 weeks)!

This is how I roll! Our roly-poly at 4 months.

The month of June has flown by so quickly. We had 4 birthdays - Joey, Ilan, Grandpa Joe, and Tio Issac. THEN Joey started his new work schedule - nights and weekends. THEN Joey's been BUSY taking a 5 week college class at 7AM!! THEN of course, Father's Day.

We've all been struggling to get a routine going with Joey's new schedule. Poor Joey seems to be running on fumes these past few weeks working late and then having to wake up at 5:30am to go to school.
